KnotVoice Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

KnotVoice (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a voice-first daily journal that stores your knots on your device. This policy explains what information the app uses, how it is stored, and the choices you have.

1. Summary

2. Information stored on your device

When you use KnotVoice, the app may store locally:

Deleting the app removes this on-device data unless you have exported copies elsewhere.

3. Device permissions

You can change these permissions anytime in iOS Settings.

4. App Tracking Transparency (IDFA)

On supported iOS versions, KnotVoice may ask for permission to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.

We do not sell your voice recordings or knot content for advertising.

5. In-app purchases

Twine is a consumable in-app currency processed by Apple. Purchase history is handled by Apple’s App Store; we do not receive your payment card details. Twine balances are stored on your device and are not restorable after reinstall, as described in the App Store terms for consumable products.

6. Exports you create

When you export a rope book (PDF or ZIP), files are written to locations you choose through the system share sheet or Files app. You control where those exports are sent or stored.

7. What we do not collect centrally

We do not operate a KnotVoice account database, location tracking, contacts access, or a public social timeline. The app is designed to work offline on your device for everyday use.

8. Children

KnotVoice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us using the details below.

9. Security

Your knots inherit the security of your device (passcode, Face ID, device encryption). Please keep your device updated and avoid sharing exports you consider sensitive.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
